SWITCHING CONTROL UNIT
The Switching Control Unit is primarily used for selecting one out of 4 external antennas based on RF signal strength, time & distance. Signal strength of all 4 antennas (through AGC voltages) are received from Receiver. The SCU is having robust switching algorithm to avoid intermittent signal loss. SCU is provisioned with manual over ride Antenna switching at front panel through Auto & Manual Switch. In Auto mode Antenna selection will be done automatically based on switching algorithm. In manual mode user has to select required Antenna by seeing AGC voltage bar and Antenna switches provided at the Front panel.
Applications
- Tracking application
- Switching based on signal strength, time lapse since start and also distance to the object being tracked.
